The Komatsu 930E-5 is a large-scale haul truck designed for heavy-duty mining operations. This truck features a powerful engine delivering 2,014 kW / 2,700 HP at 1,800 rpm, with advanced management systems and enhanced efficiency. With an operating weight of approximately 521,631 kg / 1,150,000 lb and a payload capacity of 304,000 kg / 320 short tons, the Komatsu 930E-5 features an advanced operator cab that provides protection from dust and noise while ensuring excellent visibility under the most demanding mining conditions. To meet strict noise compliance, a leading mine engaged Minetek to reduce sound emissions across its Komatsu 930E-5 haul truck fleet, without sacrificing payload or performance. The client required a robust sound attenuation solution to meet stringent asset-level noise requirements for their Komatsu 930E-5 haul truck fleet. The goal was to reduce the cumulative sound power generated by surface operations while minimizing emissions, without compromising performance or payload.
