Minetek’s client needed to significantly decrease the sound output of their Caterpillar 785C and 785D fleet to meet environmental regulations and prevent the delays and stoppages that were leading to significant loss of production and profits. Minetek was commissioned to design and manufacture a Sound Attenuation Package for the Caterpillar 785C/D Haul Truck that would allow our client to operate the machines in accordance with the stringent noise regulations onsite.
