A by-product of all mining is process water and the need to store, transfer, treat or remove it to ensure regulatory compliance is universal.
Due to the nature of mine processing, water can become highly contaminated. The mining industry uses large amounts of water for mine processes including washing ore and mine tailings impoundment. As such, mine process wastewater is often polluted with heavy metals and metalloids that necessitate expensive treatment before it is released into the environment or used for any other purpose.
With the capability to evaporate water with high levels of Total Dissolvable Solids (TDS) and Total Suspended Solids (TSS) and pH range as low as 1.8 and as high as 14, Minetek's water evaporation solutions offer versatility and a cost-effective solution to managing mine affected and process water without the need for pre-treatment.
