About the Role:
We are currently seeking a pro-active, hands-on and knowledgeable Estimator, to support an expansion at our production and testing facility in Prestons, Sydney.
As an Estimator, your primary responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
Preparation and submission of accurate quotation documents and drawings, in accordance with customer and internal specifications
Developing and fostering relationships with clients and key suppliers (where appropriate)
Providing guidance and support to the switchboard assembly team
Keeping up to date with the relevant industry advancements and Australian standards
Promoting cost savings initiatives, whilst positively influencing the direction of the division
You will be a natural problem solver, who is driven to exceed expectations and make positive contributions to the growth and evolution of the business.
To be considered, you will require the following:
Relevant Trade or engineering qualifications, with proven experience working with main switchboards, distribution boards and control panels
Knowledge and skills interpreting switchboard drawings & schematic diagrams
Cell wiring knowledge and experience (Advantageous)
Experience with PLC, VSD and MCCs
An working knowledge of Australian electrical standards
Exceptional problem solving skills with the ability to think and act quickly in a fast paced environment
An ability to identify and suggest process improvements and new ideas
A genuine team-player who works effectively with others and self-motivated when working autonomously
Excellent verbal (presentation) and written communication skills.
