Dewatering solution for Copper and Sulphide Mine in Peru

Minetek Water implemented a tailored tailings dam evaporation solution for a copper and sulphide mining operation in Chilloroya, Peru. The project involved the deployment of a two 600/300 Evaporation System Package, designed to efficiently manage excess water within the tailings dam. Achieving a combined volume throughput of 270 cubic meters per hour (1,200 gallons per minute), this system provided a robust solution for maintaining water levels and enhancing site safety. This project exemplifies Minetek Water’s ability to deliver efficient and scalable evaporation technologies that support sustainable water management and regulatory compliance in the mining sector.
